Kiwanis prepares to move into the new Admistrative Year

Come May of every year the Kiwanis Clubs of Malaysia will make preparation towards the close of one Administrative Year of activities and towards meeting the challenges of the next Administrative Year. While the current Board Trustees of Kiwanis Malaysia and the Boards of Directors of the 54 clubs in the country are looking through its calendar of activities to ensure nothing is left undone until the term ends on 30th September 2009, the Kiwanis Malaysia held the 2009-2010 Lieutenant Governors Planning Conference in Malacca from 23rd to 24th May 2009.

All the eight Lt. Governors-elect for the 2009-2010 Administrative Year were holed up at the Bayview Hotel in Malacca to brainstorm towards achieving another year of Kiwanis excellence in service to the community. During that two days, the Kiwanians defined their roles and goals for the Administrative Year 2009 - 2010. The Kiwanians realised always that it is about having the muscles to get things done. With that philosophy, Kiwanis Malaysia focused on growth for Service through building and mentoring new clubs and exchanging of knowledge in leadership skills.

Kiwanis Organisation was founded on 21 January, 1915 to improve lives through fellowship in service worldwide. Its Defining Statement is: Kiwanis is a global organisation of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. Besides being volunteers for community service, especially serving the children of the world, members also learn organisation and leadership skill. The Vision of Kiwanis aims to develop competent, capable and caring leaders throughout the world to carry out its mission to changing the world one child and one community at a time through serving the children of the world.

Kiwanis Club of Pandan Jaya is one of the 54 clubs, which are actively engaged in carrying out the Kiwanis Mission in Malaysia. This Kiwanis Club of Pandan Jaya has never failed to uphold the Principles, Visions and Mission to changing the world one child one community at a time. For its efforts, Kiwanis International had honoured Kiwanis Club of Pandan Jaya with 6 Distinguished Club Awards since the 2000 – 2001 to 2007 –2008 Administrative Years. Two of its members were honoured with the Hixson Awards, the highest Award in the Kiwanis World an five of its other members had been honoured with the Kiwanis Leadership Society Awards.

Lunch at Sheraton, Subang Jaya



I had lunch with Dr. Lim, Mr. Tee and Edmund at the Japanese Restaurant at Sheraton S. Jaya.
The meeting was wonderful,but the meal was below par.
